US Changes Customs Rules, 200,000 Packages Sent from Ukraine
Starting from July 24, new customs rules for international shipments have been implemented in the US. Instead of a single rate of 10%, differentiated rates have been introduced depending on the category of goods, and a mandatory 10-digit code of the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity (UKT VED) is now required for customs clearance. "Ukrposhta" has adapted its services by updating the Personal Account, API, and customs calculator, allowing Ukrainian exporters to continue selling on Amazon, Etsy, and eBay. Under the new rules, 200,000 packages have already been sent from Ukraine to the US. Delivery to the US is available within a timeframe of 7 days, with the PRIME rate starting at $6. The next phase of changes to American customs legislation is expected on October 22 and will pertain to specific categories of goods. "Ukrposhta" is preparing for these changes to ensure uninterrupted delivery of Ukrainian exports. Packages from "Ukrposhta" leave Ukraine within 24 hours of dispatch, enabling exporters to deliver goods faster and reduce logistics risks.
