At the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, the construction of the international border crossing "Bronnitsa - Ungury" is nearing completion. Once operational, its capacity will increase by 50%, with completion expected by the end of 2026. Construction began in November 2025, and the work is in the final stages. A viewing platform is being installed at the site, electrical installation work is being completed, outdoor lighting is being set up, and water supply and sewage systems are being connected to the modular buildings. Service rooms and pavilions for the State Customs Service and the State Border Guard Service have already been constructed. After the completion of the construction, the border crossing will be able to serve up to 600 passengers, up to 400 cars, up to 50 trucks, and up to 800 pedestrians daily. The increase in capacity is expected to reduce the load on other crossings at the Ukrainian-Moldovan border and expand the possibilities for road transport between the two countries.
