CoinWorld reports:
According to foreign media, a web platform called Your AI Slop Bores Me has recently gained attention. Instead of processing user requests through real models, it allows another user to act as the AI and respond within a limited time. The article suggests that the emergence of this parody-like product is related to the growing fatigue towards generative AI content.
Human Replacing Models for Responses
The structure of this platform is quite simple. Once users enter the page, they can choose to submit requests or switch to the "act as AI" side to answer others' requests. Whether the needs are textual or visual, the actual task completion is done by humans, not the models themselves.
The platform requires users acting as "AI" to complete their responses within 150 seconds; requests become invalid after the time limit. If they encounter content they do not wish to take on or find too difficult, they can skip it and wait for the next task.
Point System Maintains Participation
The article mentions that the platform employs a point system. Submitting requests consumes points, which are primarily earned by answering others' requests. This means users cannot just ask questions without participating in answering, allowing the platform to maintain a supply-demand cycle.
Restrictions Become Selling Points
In addition to text interactions, the platform also provides a simple drawing tool. The article states that this tool is close to a basic drawing board, with very limited functionality, but this actually forms part of the gameplay. Many users request the drawing of complex characters or specific scenes, and responders must complete them in a very short time, often resulting in a distinctly improvised and comedic effect.
The platform also operates a Discord community and has set up a "Hall of Fame" to showcase outstanding works. The report notes that some of these works exceed the conventional levels supported by the tool itself, indicating that some users have turned these limitations into creative challenges rather than mere jokes.
Foreign Media Claims Reflect AI Content Fatigue
The article argues that the platform's appeal comes not only from its parody aspect. A deeper background is that the public's patience with AI-generated content is waning. The report cites observations from other media that some large platforms have begun to limit or label low-quality AI content, as users' aversion to "AI slop" is increasing.
In this context, returning "AI conversations" to be completed by real humans, even if only in a parody manner, is seen as a reverse response to the current generative AI experience. The article suggests that what users truly enjoy is not just receiving answers but the process of mimicking a machine tone and completing a performance of "answering like an AI" under high-pressure time limits.
