Leopold Aschenbrenner's hedge fund recorded a 67% loss last month, yet more than 5,000 investors continue to follow his investment strategy. These investors have avoided using leverage, thereby reducing their relative losses. Currently, approximately $28 million remains in funds associated with this strategy. According to Business Insider, the number of investors tracking Aschenbrenner's publicly disclosed stock portfolio on the Autopilot platform has surpassed 5,000, with total funds raised reaching $32 million. Aschenbrenner's hedge fund, "Situational Awareness," informed investors that they could either maintain their funds or redeem them following the announcement of the losses. The CEO of Autopilot stated that while about $3 million to $5 million has been withdrawn, approximately $28 million remains intact. Autopilot does not use leverage or short selling, and Aschenbrenner's strategy has recorded a return of 53.4%. The current portfolio is focused on AI infrastructure companies, and it has been reported that AI stocks rebounded after Aschenbrenner sold most of his publicly traded shares to Citadel. Autopilot plans to maintain this strategy as long as the hedge fund continues to operate.
