Introducing Ether.fi ($ETHFI): Protocol Updates and Price Prediction
You can trade $ETHFI/USDT now and learn the price prediction for $ETHFI in this article.
What is Ether.fi?
Ether.fi is a decentralized, non-custodial staking and restaking protocol designed to maximize user control and Ethereum network decentralization. The protocol issues liquid staking tokens: eETH (rebasing) and weETH (wrapped, non-rebasing), which allow users to earn rewards from both Ethereum consensus staking and native restaking on EigenLayer, without losing liquidity or DeFi composability.
eETH, issued by ether.fi, is the first native liquid restaking token on Ethereum. Users can mint eETH directly on the platform, after which their ETH is both staked and restaked to optimize yield. By holding eETH, users gain exposure to multiple reward streams, including Ethereum staking rewards, ether.fi loyalty points, restaking incentives such as EigenLayer points, and additional yield opportunities through providing liquidity across DeFi protocols.
Updates for Ether.fi
Ether.fi (ETHFI) has continued its expansion into practical crypto spending and institutional adoption throughout early 2026. A major recent development is the ongoing migration of ether.fi Cash—the non-custodial Visa debit card offering cashback—to Optimism’s OP Mainnet from Scroll.
Before trade, it is supposed to know more about the updates for Ether.fi (ETHFI). On the staking and restaking side, the eETH Automated Rebalancing Module recently hit all-time high deposits, achieving an 8.9% APY on the prior day with a 4.5% 30-day average by purchasing discounted eETH on automated market makers and redeeming via the withdrawal queue to support the peg while generating yield. Protocol TVL stays robust near $5.7 billion, with ongoing governance discussions around treasury buybacks and member rewards, though no major new product launches have occurred in the past week.

Reasons for the Volatility of $ETHFI
$ETHFI has seen notable volatility in March 2026, trading in a relatively low range around $0.48–$0.57 with frequent 5–15% daily swings. The main drivers are a mix of macro factors and protocol-specific developments:
- ether.fi Cash migration to OP Mainnet: The shift of the non-custodial Visa debit card product from Scroll to Optimism affects ~70,000 cards and $160M+ TVL. This creates short-term uncertainty, but is also viewed as bullish long-term, leading to sentiment whipsaws.
- Buyback program mechanics and competition: The DAO-approved up to $50M ETHFI buyback provides a floor but hasn’t fully countered selling pressure. Meanwhile, rising competition from rivals like Puffer Finance adds pressure on market share perception.
The price prediction of $ETHFI for next 7 days:
$ETHFI is currently in a stable accumulation phase. With the RSI in the neutral zone (30-70), the price is expected to oscillate within a tight range. Most of the early 2026 pressure from the OP Mainnet migration has been absorbed. Expect $ETHFI to track Ethereum's general momentum closely, likely staying under the $0.60 resistance unless a specific catalyst drops.
