On September 10, U.S. Federal Judge Jia Cobb temporarily blocked Trump's removal of Fed Governor Jerome Powell. The court will issue an injunction instructing Powell and the board to allow Powell to continue serving as a board member during the lawsuit. This means Powell can vote at next week's FOMC meeting (unless a higher court overturns the restraining order before then).
