Cross-chain infrastructure company Squid has joined the Open Blockchain Artificial Intelligence Association (OBDIA) as a member. Through this membership, Squid plans to expand its collaboration with domestic banks and securities firms and participate in the standardization and governance discussions promoted by the association. Established in 2018, OBDIA is a non-profit organization with 13 major commercial banks, including Shinhan Bank, as member institutions. Since launching its services in 2023, Squid has processed over $6 billion in cross-chain transactions and supports asset transfers across more than 100 blockchains. Recently, in the public sale of $QUID, it attracted $26.66 million in applications within 72 hours, recording a demand of 11.9 times the hard cap. By joining OBDIA, Squid aims to expand its institutional business base in Korea and has announced plans to apply cross-chain infrastructure to Korean won stablecoins and tokenized assets. In the future, Squid will actively participate in stablecoin discussions through collaborations with domestic financial institutions.
