OpenAI's AI-native browser Atlas officially ceased operation on August 9, 2026, ending its service 292 days after launch. Media statistics show that Chrome still held two-thirds of the global market share during the same period. Among other AI browser products, Arc has stopped, Sidekick has shut down, and The Browser Company has been acquired by Atlassian. In the help documentation for the Atlas browser, OpenAI's final guidance for users was: Please export your bookmarks as an HTML file before August 9.
