NVIDIA Releases Jetson Orin Nano 2, Doubling Inference Performance

NVIDIA announced the release of the Jetson Orin Nano 2 on August 26, with plans to launch it in the first half of next year. This product offers 78 TOPS of computing power, equipped with 8GB of memory and an octa-core Arm CPU, focusing on high-efficiency video processing scenarios. The inference performance of the Jetson Orin Nano 2 has doubled compared to the previous generation Jetson Orin Nano Super, maintaining the same form factor while upgrading Tensor Cores and memory bandwidth. Its power consumption in the 15-watt mode has been reduced by 40%. Companies such as Cognex, Doosan Bobcat, Matic, and Wing are potential customers for this product, applying AI capabilities to smart drones, home robots, and visual AI applications. NVIDIA also provides carrier boards, hardware systems, reference designs, and software support for large language models and visual language models, supporting open models like NVIDIA Cosmos, Nemotron, Gemma 4, and Qwen 3.
