MiniMax Code's R&D head, He Tao, has announced that MiniMax Code will soon launch a terminal version. The testing interface shows that this version has a complete Coding Agent form, capable of understanding tasks, thinking, and executing operations in the terminal. MiniMax Code is not a new product; it previously had web and desktop versions. At the end of May this year, the desktop app was officially renamed MiniMax Code, and the M3 released in June is positioned as an Agent product specifically designed to work with its own models. The official statement claims that its underlying harness is based on OpenCode and Pi.
