In Kyiv, a material reserve is being formed for the autumn-winter period with a focus on food security. Oleg Kuyavskiy, Deputy Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, reported on the preparation of algorithms for the interaction of services to provide quick assistance to Kyiv residents in crisis situations. In the next 1 to 1.5 months, the Kyiv Humanitarian Headquarters will purchase additional food kits for use in emergency conditions, taking into account proposals from the public and volunteers. Logistics chains for the supply of food, drinking water, and essential items have also been revised. In the future, authorities plan to increase funding for food security measures. From January to July 2026, the city provided about 100 tons of food and 500,000 essential goods. The government allocated 3 billion UAH from the reserve fund for the installation of 216 block-modular boiler houses.
