Korea Exchange to Launch ETF After-Hours Trading on September 14

The Korea Exchange will officially launch after-hours trading for exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on September 14, aiming to compete with alternative trading systems like Nextrade and all-weather cryptocurrency exchanges. Asset management institutions have warned that the lack of real-time net asset value estimates may widen the price deviation of ETFs, and the industry has previously called for the Korean Exchange to postpone the launch of this service. Individual stock leveraged ETFs will not be included in the scope of after-hours trading.
