The generative art platform fxhash has officially announced that it has reached the end of its journey, and the website is now offline. It remains unclear whether it will be relaunched. The fxhash team was laid off in February, with only the founder remaining. Currently, there are no ongoing or future development plans, and no one is attempting to repay the company's loans. Verse, Le Random, and objkt continue to support the browsing and trading of fxhash artworks. A former front-end developer of fxhash has built the WhiteHash framework, which allows for the preservation of fxhash artworks without relying on fxhash's infrastructure. In August 2023, fxhash completed a $5 million seed funding round, led by 1kx.
