Franklin Templeton has joined the Canton Network as a super validator. This global asset management firm manages over $1.5 trillion in assets and will directly participate in the operation of tokenization infrastructure. This involvement comes after the expansion of its Benji technology platform to the Canton Network by the end of 2025. Franklin Templeton is enhancing its position in the tokenized asset market by participating in verification and governance beyond just network usage. The Canton Network is a Layer 1 blockchain for tokenized asset processing for financial institutions, where super validators are responsible for maintaining network security, transaction verification, and governance participation. Franklin Templeton will join infrastructure groups such as Visa, Chainlink, DTCC, Nasdaq, and Blockdaemon. These institutions are also involved in network operations and are seen as a signal of the transition of the tokenized market to actual financial infrastructure. The Canton Network currently has over 1,200 validators and more than 45 super validators, with network fees reaching $57.29 million in the last 30 days, marking the highest level among blockchain networks.
