Former Ethereum Foundation member Abbas Khan stated that the foundation could not assist the founder in finding product-market fit (PMF), and success depended on the founder's own efforts. Excellent founders clearly define their goals and weaknesses, making specific requests to the foundation rather than hoping for simple publicity to solve distribution issues. Khan acknowledged that past criticisms regarding the lack of support teams for founders at the Ethereum Foundation were valid, but emphasized that supporting developers and expecting the foundation to make you successful are two different things. The foundation's role is to provide foundational support, such as introducing liquidity, connecting with investors, and offering guidance, rather than building companies for founders. Khan quoted Elon Musk, pointing out that those who complain the most are often the worst, and teams lacking support are usually not those that can succeed just by forwarding information.
