The weighted average electricity price on the day-ahead market (DAM) in Ukraine fell to 1992 UAH per MWh on July 11, marking the lowest level since April 2024. The decrease occurred amid a 30% reduction in demand compared to previous days, while electricity supply only decreased by 5%. The base load index also hit a two-year low, reaching 1914 UAH per MWh on July 11. On July 13, Ukraine will hold its first long-term auction for electricity sales, where contracts will be made for a quarter, half a year, and a year, with "Energoatom" and "Ukrhydroenergo" as sellers.
