By: rootdata|2026/07/31 14:55:25

At the "Yahodyn" checkpoint on the border with Poland, the first stationary X-ray inspection system for railway cars and containers is being installed in Ukraine. The equipment will allow customs control of freight trains without stopping. The scanning equipment has already been delivered to Ukraine, and construction work and infrastructure preparation for its installation and testing are ongoing. The complex will automatically generate X-ray images of the cars, enabling the inspection of cargo and the detection of hidden items. The system will operate around the clock and will be able to scan trains in both directions. The software automatically identifies cars for inspection, excluding passenger cars and locomotives. The launch of the equipment is linked to the increasing role of railway transport in international logistics and will allow cargo control without stopping trains at the border. Scanners for road transport are already in use at the "Yahodyn - Dorohusk" checkpoint.
