Crypto Treasury Capitalization Reaches $340 Billion, Driven by Altcoins

By: journalducoin.com|2026/09/03 12:00:00

The cumulative capitalization of companies holding cryptocurrencies in their treasury has reached $340 billion, up 10% since mid-August, according to data published on September 1. This figure remains below the $490 billion reached in October-November last year during Bitcoin's historic peak. Lesser-known companies like CYPH and PURR are showing impressive returns of 142% and 62%, respectively, far surpassing Bitcoin. These entities actively participate in the ecosystem they fund, unlike Bitcoin, which some companies can only accumulate passively. For example, PURR manages a Hyperliquid validator, and CYPH operates a mining operation for Zcash. Ethereum DATs are also staking their tokens to secure the network. This model allows for an increase in market value relative to the net asset value, creating a virtuous cycle of accretion.
