Brent crude oil surpassed $100 for the first time, falling back to $98.38 on Friday, marking a nearly 12% increase for the week. The market expects the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, and the Bank of Japan to maintain interest rates next week, although there is a 35% probability of a 25 basis point rate hike by the Fed. Several important economic data points will be released next week, including the US GDP for the second quarter, June core PCE, Eurozone GDP for the second quarter, and July CPI. Key timings are as follows: Tuesday at 20:15, the ADP employment change for the week ending July 11; Thursday at 02:00, the Fed's FOMC will announce its interest rate decision, followed by a press conference by Fed Chair Waller at 02:30; at 19:00, the Bank of England will announce its interest rate decision and related reports; at 20:30, initial jobless claims, June core PCE, personal spending, and second-quarter GDP data will be released; on Friday, the Bank of Japan will announce its interest rate decision and economic outlook report at 14:30, followed by a press conference by the Bank of Japan Governor; at 22:00, the University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index and one-year inflation expectations for July will be released. Meanwhile, SK Hynix will release its second-quarter earnings report on July 29 at 08:00, while Meta, Microsoft, Robinhood, Qualcomm, and Arm will announce their earnings after the US market closes on Wednesday.
