1Password Launches '1Password for Claude' Integration to Support Claude in Completing Login Tasks
1Password has launched the '1Password for Claude' integration, based on a zero-exposure architecture, allowing the AI assistant Claude to complete browser tasks requiring login and one-time verification codes without accessing passwords. The relevant credentials do not enter the Claude model or its memory. When Claude needs to log in, 1Password presents the requested credentials and their purpose to the user, who confirms via biometric recognition. The credentials are then directly injected into the page by 1Password, ensuring that Claude cannot see the password or one-time verification code, and access is limited to the current task, becoming invalid after the task is completed. This integration also introduces the 'Agentic Mode' feature, which automatically locks the 1Password browser extension interface when a compatible AI agent takes over the browser. The agent can only use login information authorized for the current task, and the rest of the vault remains inaccessible. Currently, '1Password for Claude' is available for enterprise, family, and individual users on the Mac platform, requiring the installation of both the 1Password desktop application and browser extension, as well as the Claude desktop application and Claude in Chrome browser extension.
